He was the perfect boy... dont think Ill ever find anyone better?

So I don't want to sound whiney or anything like that, cause Im not some desperate girl or anything. But I was in a relationship for 2 years until November 2010, and after that I was just a wreck. So my best friend set me up with this guy she knew, and he was totalllllyy cute. He was like my perfect boy, but I was still heartbroken by my ex of 2 years. So I wasn't really my flirty self. We went out about 6 times, and held hands once. But then he started avoiding hanging out with me, and eventually we broke our fling off. BUt he really is sooo perfect. I know if I had been my fun flirty self back then he would have liked me, because we were just so good together. Anyways, he was on the football team... and since I had hungout with him alot I knew alot of the football players too. And they all told him if he wasn't going to go for me, then they wanted "dibs". so anyways now Im talking to alot of his friends, and its kinda weird cause All I want is him, and I think he is even more annoyed at me for hanging out with the friends he had first. I JUST DONT KNOW. Your opinions would be SOO appreciated.
